EKO Market and Come Back Alive Foundation Raise Funds for Drones to Intercept Shahed UAVs
From now on, customers at EKO Market checkouts can donate to help intercept Russian drones. The retail chain has joined the Dronopad initiative of the Come Back Alive Foundation and aims to raise UAH 1 million to purchase interceptor drones.
How to donate?
In every supermarket of the chain, you can contribute to air defense by adding any amount starting from UAH 1 when paying at the checkout. With the funds raised, the Come Back Alive Foundation will purchase ten high-speed interceptor drones for units that daily shoot down enemy reconnaissance and strike UAVs, including Shahed drones targeting peaceful cities.
“When all our efforts are focused on protecting people and cities, it is crucial to provide the army with tools that work here and now. That is why we joined Dronopad: every hryvnia in this fundraiser is a part of our shared security,” representatives of EKO Market say.
Dronopad is a project under which hundreds of military units are provided with everything necessary to counter drones. Among the equipment supplied to the military are electronic warfare systems (EW), FPV drones, vehicles, optics, communication equipment, and much more. Specifically to intercept Shahed drones, the military receives interceptor drones. As part of Dronopad, more than 8,000 drones have already been shot down, including over 1,000 Shahed and Gerbera drones.
EKO Market creates a convenient way to join the initiative, while the Come Back Alive Foundation ensures transparent use of every hryvnia. Since 2014, Come Back Alive has been supplying Ukraine’s Defense Forces with a wide range of equipment — from body armor and vehicles to grenade launchers and F-16 maintenance systems.
Previously, EKO Market raised over UAH 1 million for rehabilitation equipment for Superhumans and is now joining efforts to support Dronopad.
